Jo Wilson came to Meridian Nursing and Rehab after multiple trips to and from the hospital where the outcome to her body was Gillian Barre Syndrome; a disorder that affects the bodys muscles. Jo was paralyzed from the waist down. Jo came to Meridian Nursing and Rehab and began to work with the restorative aide Barbara Jo felt like she was getting better. Jo remembers one day while working with Barbara her leg moved and she knew from that moment she was going to get better. Jo says she was encouraged everyday by the staff at Meridian Nursing and Rehab to meet her goal of getting her strength back and returning home. Jo believes her biggest support was Brad, her Occupational Therapist he was constantly encouraging her even when she was yelling at him he would say just one more step. Jo stated After this experience I will never take anything for granted again. Jo would like to thank the staff at Meridian Nursing and Rehab for all of their hard work that has helped her reach her goals. Jo recently moved from Meridian Nursing and Rehab to an assisted living facility close to her family.
